Integrated Communications class at AAU was a particularly challenging project. The assignment was to choose a director and a selection of their films and build a film festival around it. I chose Werner Herzog and developed a festival showcasing his films featuring adventurers who traveled off the map. 

Once the festival concept, schedule and location had been established the design began. I chose to create graphics inspired by topographic maps and carry this over into custom leather work I made. The elements created for this project included branding, title, graphics, original photography, advertisements, catalogue, DVD packaging, tickets, poster, website, schedule, products, map, travel journal and soundtrack we all created to support the festival.

I created custom, hand tooled leather for the book covers, dvd case, products and backpack which were inspired by the topographic map of the festival location.
